Alf has really done his time in all his jobs at the track, first racing and then as a pony horse. He last raced in 2013 and has been a pony horse since. He's also had time back at the farm. He's ready to be someone's friend and pleasure mount. He has the sweetest face and a really lovely way of going- it looks like he would be super comfortable. Perfect for a trail partner, pleasure horse, husband horse, kidsafe. You can see how chill and relaxed he is, just taking it all in stride. He is said to have no vices and no injuries.

All horses are located at Fairmount Park Racetrack in Collinsville, IL 62234, just minutes from St. Louis, Missouri.
We’re conveniently located within about 4.5 hours (or closer) of many major cities, including Lexington, Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
Each horse is for sale directly by its owner, who determines the purchase price. Gateway Off-Track Thoroughbreds is here to connect you with the owner, guide you through the process, and provide a written bill of sale for your records.
A few important reminders:
All horses listed with Gateway OTTBs are active racehorses with no training beyond the track (unless otherwise noted). They are not suitable for beginners or children without further training.
For safety reasons, riding on racetrack property is not permitted without a valid state racing license.
Free-motion or lunge videos are not available since these horses are stabled at the racetrack.
Horses may continue to race until sold. You can view upcoming entries and full records through the Equibase link provided.
We always recommend scheduling a veterinary pre-purchase exam.
