Holy cow, is this girl impressive.
She's a giant, stunning mare with so much presence — she'll get noticed wherever she goes. And can you say S-H-O-U-L-D-E-R? Look at those massive feet! She looks like a warmblood or TB/Clyde cross — that's how big and chunky she is. And she's an easy keeper - 1 scoop twice a day, and she looks like this!
As a 3-year-old, she refused to load into the starting gates, so her connections decided to take her home, turn her out, and let her grow up. Now that she has, she's a beefy, gorgeous girl who's proud of her dapples and her shine. These days she'll load into the gate just fine — but she's slow as molasses on the track. We think she's finally telling us what she wants to do: she'll make a GREAT sport horse. She has the movement, the brain, and the chill temperament for it — and her sire is a superstar who produces top-quality sport horses.

All horses are located at Fairmount Park Racetrack in Collinsville, IL 62234, just minutes from St. Louis, Missouri. We’re conveniently located within about 4.5 hours (or closer) of many major cities, including Lexington, Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
Each horse is for sale directly by its owner, who determines the purchase price. Gateway Off-Track Thoroughbreds is here to connect you with the owner, guide you through the process, and provide a written bill of sale for your records.
A few important reminders:
All horses listed with Gateway OTTBs are active racehorses with no training beyond the track (unless otherwise noted). They are not suitable for beginners or children without further training.
For safety reasons, riding on racetrack property is not permitted without a valid state racing license.
Free-motion or lunge videos are not available since these horses are stabled at the racetrack.
Horses may continue to race until sold. You can view upcoming entries and full records through the Equibase link provided.
We always recommend scheduling a veterinary pre-purchase exam.
