Cheekers is a very handsome man, very personable, with a relaxed easy way about him. His owner just adores him and you can tell, he is so shiny and clean and well taken care of. Cheekers has told him that he wants to stop racing and have a new career, Cheekers doesn't like going to the track anymore and Pete (his owner), is listening to him, which is awesome.
Cheekers is a blank slate. He has never been injected anywhere, has had no supplements, he is as clean of a whistle as they come. He is sound and happy, and loves his hay bag! He also loves grazing, attention, and looking around at the beautiful world. He loves people and will be so happy to have his new person. And did you see his eyes!!! Holy Cow.
He was easy to handle for our shoot, he jogged nicely and stood nicely for the photos, despite the bugs being awful.
Owner states that he is retiring with no known injuries and no known vices.
All horses are measured with a stick unless otherwise stated. You can watch each horse's races by clicking on their "Racing Stats" button above, opening equibase, looking at their race history, and clicking on the video icon. You may need to open and inexpensive account with Equibase, but it's worth it :)

All horses are located at Fairmount Park Racetrack (Fanduel Sportsbook and Horse Racing) in Collinsville, IL 62234. The nearest big city is Saint Louis.
All horses are for sale by owner, and the owner sets the sale price. Gateway Off Track Thoroughbreds is here to help you connect with the owner and facilitate the process as well as provide a written bill of sale between you and the horse's owner.
All horses listed with GATEWAY OTTBs are racehorses with no other training and are not suitable for beginners or children without additional training unless otherwise stated. No person is allowed to ride any horse on racetrack property without a valid state racing license. No free motion or lunge videos are available as horses are at a racetrack. Horses may continue to race until sold. You can see if they are entered into any races by clicking on their Equibase link above (breeding/race history link). GATEWAY OTTBs always recommends a veterinary pre-purchase exam.
