Sired by the famous Carpe Diem (Giant's Causeway) ICECAP is a stunning grey boy. He is built incredibly solidly, he has the best combination of great brain and great body, with power in his movements. According to his trainer, Icecap is the most perfect horse, sound, athletic, smart as hell, level-headed and well-balanced. Icecap sold for $180,000 a couple of years ago at the Keeneland Sale.
I spent well over an hour with the trainer and Icecap, as it was a rare 75 degree November day and we chatted about all sorts of things. Icecap stood there, like a school horse, enjoying the sunshine and loved looking around. He didn't prance, dance, spook or act silly the entire time, despite standing still on black pavement for what probably seemed like an eternity.
Icecap has such a good brain, this cannot be overstated. A good brain is priceless and this guy has it, combined with huge bone, amazing feet and lovely movement. This boy will be a STAR.
He looks like he will be an incredible jumper, and his trainer stated that he can be strong on the track, despite his puppy-dog demeanor and amazing ground manners. I see upper-level eventer written all over this guy.

Icecap is stabled at Fairmount Park Race Track in Collinsville, IL (outside of Saint Louis, MO). We are about 4.5 hours (or less) from Lexington, Louisville, Indy, Cinci, KC, Memphis, Nashville, Chicago. For sale to a NON RACING HOME ONLY.
