Oscar is both handsome and adorable at the same time!! He's beautifully marked, with lots of chrome, and has a sweet pony face. He's also a lovely mover and a well-behaved stud.
He has some really interesting breeding with Kitten’s Joy and some Brazilian, German, French and British blood.
He is retiring with no vices, but the trainer states that he does have a mild bow, sustained during his last race approximately 3 months ago, as can be seen in the photos below. Trainer states that he was never really lame, and he appears sound at the jog now. He has had 3 months of stall rest.
He can be gelded at the track for about $300 or you can also purchase him intact.

All horses are located at Fairmount Park Racetrack in Collinsville, IL 62234, just minutes from St. Louis, Missouri. We’re conveniently located within about 4.5 hours (or closer) of many major cities, including Lexington, Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
Each horse is for sale directly by its owner, who determines the purchase price. Gateway Off-Track Thoroughbreds is here to connect you with the owner, guide you through the process, and provide a written bill of sale for your records.
A few important reminders:
All horses listed with Gateway OTTBs are active racehorses with no training beyond the track (unless otherwise noted). They are not suitable for beginners or children without further training.
For legal and safety reasons, riding on racetrack property is not permitted without a valid Illinois Racing Board jockey or exercise rider license.
Free-motion or lunge videos are not available since these horses are stabled at the racetrack.
Horses may continue to race until sold. You can view upcoming entries and full records through the Equibase link provided.
