BIG EAR LOVER ALERT! What's Emma Say is a giant filly, she is only two years old and already stands 16.2 hands tall. Her trainer thinks she will be just too big to race, and wants her to have the opportunity to hang out in a pasture for a bit and grow and mature and chill. She is unraced, but has trained and is track broke. She is gentle and kind, and definitely a baby. Lots of things are new for her - for example, she had ever ever jogged in hand before yesterday, that was a first for her! And she did great! Emma has no vices or limitations. You may notice in her photos that she has just recently shin bucked. She needs some time off, and she will be back to as good as new!!!
And, did i mention her ears? Good lord, she has massive ears. I secretly hope that she never "grows into them" and they stay this big and impressive. Emma is only two and already 16.2 hands. She will grow. She may end up being over 17 hands. Her shoulder is massive, this is going to be a big moving mare!

All horses are located at Fairmount Park Racetrack in Collinsville, IL 62234, just minutes from St. Louis, Missouri. We’re conveniently located within about 4.5 hours (or closer) of many major cities, including Lexington, Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
Each horse is for sale directly by its owner, who determines the purchase price. Gateway Off-Track Thoroughbreds is here to connect you with the owner, guide you through the process, and provide a written bill of sale for your records.
A few important reminders:
All horses listed with Gateway OTTBs are active racehorses with no training beyond the track (unless otherwise noted). They are not suitable for beginners or children without further training.
For safety reasons, riding on racetrack property is not permitted without a valid state racing license.
Free-motion or lunge videos are not available since these horses are stabled at the racetrack.
Horses may continue to race until sold. You can view upcoming entries and full records through the Equibase link provided.
We always recommend scheduling a veterinary pre-purchase exam.
